Raul Villarreal spent his childhood growing up in both Houston, Texas and Monterrey, Mexico. In 2000, He received a full collegiate scholarship in track and field at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas where he became the cofounder of a notorious organization known as The Mugget Warriors. This organization was essentially a brotherhood of athletes which used the group to promote, market, and advertise various events and social gatherings throughout Texas. The group also fuelled each other's enthusiasm, developed a loyal fan base and grew to receive national recognition. Villarreal left SHSU with a BA in Advertising and Public Relations from the Department of Journalism in 2005. In 2006 he followed his passion for photography to Los Angeles where today he shoots for top venues and clientele across the Los Angels area including his current position with Cal State studio photography department. As the Director for REPUBLIC Los Angeles, Villarreal hopes to bring the Republic Worldwide vision and mission to the cinematic culture of the Los Angeles arts scene by creating outstanding events that uniquely combine dynamic visual and entertainment concepts in rare spectacles for his west coast audience.
